Volleyball Recap: Babcock Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Babcock rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Naples Classical Academy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trailblazers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Babcock was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-5.

Babcock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylene Collazo, who had 16 assists and seven aces. That's the most assists Collazo has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Marley Ankrom-Smith, who had eight aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Babcock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 32 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

The victory got Babcock back to even at 13-13. As for Naples Classical, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Looking ahead, Babcock will head out on the road to take on Everglades City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Naples Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
