Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fultondale Wildcats. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fairfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antwon Landrum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Landrum is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fultondale, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will square off against Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fultondale, they will face off against Pleasant Grove at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
