Volleyball Recap: East Central's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

East Central won the last time they faced Judson and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

East Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.

East Central found their leader in sophomore Serenity Muro, who had 20 assists and six digs. Those 20 assists set a new season-high mark for Muro.

Despite the loss, Judson still got an impressive performance from Tailyr Harris, who had six digs and two aces. Those aces marked the first that Harris has served this season.

East Central's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Judson, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-23.

Coincidentally, East Central and Judson will both be playing Steele the next time they take the court. The Hornets will host the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
