On FridayFremont kept up with Sanger until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Sanger Apaches' defense stepped up to hand the Fremont Tigers a 3-0 shutout. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by three goals or more this season.

Alberto Inostros and Alfredo Cardenas scored all three of Sanger's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Sanger's win bumped their record up to 5-1-2. As for Fremont, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sanger will head out to challenge Lindsay at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fremont, they are taking a road trip to face off against McLane at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. McLane's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Fremont's offense will have their work cut out for them.
