Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lawrence was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 473 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shawnee Mission South only gained 136.
One reason for the win was Lawrence's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Joshua Galbreath and Devin Foster who racked up five sacks between them.
Lawrence will face off against Junction City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shawnee Mission South, they are taking a road trip to take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shawnee Mission South is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
