Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Byng

Byng put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Pauls Valley Panthers with a sharp 13-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Byng's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pauls Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byng will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harrah at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Pauls Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Purcell at 5:00 p.m.
