Volleyball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield's Winning Streak Snapped at 11 Games

After a string of 11 wins, Ansley/Litchfield's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Central Valley Cougars. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Ansley/Litchfield had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Ansley/Litchfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Garittee Smith, who had nine digs and one assist.

Ansley/Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Central Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Ansley/Litchfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Arcadia/Loup City on the 16th. As for Central Valley, they will take on Burwell on Thursday.
