Arrowhead junior averaged nearly 27 points per game as Warhawks went 25-4 and reached the Division 1 semifinals.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Natalie Kussow of Arrowhead (Hartland) is the 2024-25 Wisconsin MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 5-foot-11 junior guard led the Warhawks to a 25-4 record and Division I state semifinal appearance.

For the season, Kussow averaged 26.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.0 assists per game.

Kussow is closing in on 2,000 career points for her career, going for 30 points or more nine times this season with a high of 43 earlier this month against Mukwanago.

Regarded as a top 25 prospect in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports, Kussow has offers from several high major college programs.

Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released in April. Past selections include 2024 WNBA Most Valuable Player A'ja Wilson (2014) as well as 2024 All-WNBA first team picks Caitlin Clark (2020), Napheesa Collier (2015), Breanna Stewart (2012) and Alyssa Thomas (2010).
