 Archie had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by  a  19-2 margin over the Lakeland Vikings. The  win was just what Archie needed coming off of  a  14-3 loss in their prior  match.
  Kyleigh Wilson spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on five hits. Those two  earned runs set a new season-high mark for her.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Haliegh Kinney, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lizzy Thompson, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Archie's victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-3. As for Lakeland, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archie will  face off against Midway at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lakeland, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Liberal at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Liberal's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so Lakeland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
