Softball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Takes a Loss

Stuart W. Cramer extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-15. They lost 17-1 to the East Gaston Warriors. If the Storm were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stuart W. Cramer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinley Womack, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Womack has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

As for East Gaston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

On East Gaston's side, Madi Perrigo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Perrigo was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Lilly Rymer was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Anderson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

While Stuart W. Cramer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
