Basketball Preview: Bexley Lions vs. KIPP Columbus Jaguars
Bexley is 3-0 against the Jaguars since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bexley Lions will be playing at home against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Bexley is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-36, which was the final score in Bexley's tilt against the Warriors on Saturday. Bexley has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, KIPP Columbus' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 47-18 loss at the hands of Columbus Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points KIPP Columbus has scored all season.
Bexley has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for KIPP Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Bexley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Jaguars when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. Will Bexley repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
