Softball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Vista PEAK Prep had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 13-3 to the Regis Jesuit Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 21-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jaya Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Amara Herrera, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.

Regis Jesuit's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Vista PEAK Prep will welcome Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Regis Jesuit, they will venture away from home to take on Grandview at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
