The Mills Vikings will challenge the Terra Nova Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Mills' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Mercy 11-0. Considering the Vikings have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Pedroza tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Lucy Esquivel was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Wong, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Mills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terra Nova). They put the hurt on El Camino with a sharp 23-1 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Liah Trade made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Trade was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI.
In other batting news, Bonnie Barrango was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Caitlyn Lobo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.
Mills' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Terra Nova, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Terra Nova struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
