Baseball Game Preview: Upper Perkiomen Indians vs. Upper Merion Area Vikings

The Upper Perkiomen Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Upper Merion Area Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Perkiomen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Upper Perkiomen made easy work of Pottsgrove and carried off a 15-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Grayson Sabo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Dice, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Upper Perkiomen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Upper Merion Area came up short against Norristown on Wednesday and fell 8-4. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upper Merion Area saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Peck, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Upper Merion Area's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Upper Perkiomen, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
