Volleyball Recap: Beaufort Academy Takes a Loss

Beaufort Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Beaufort Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Andrew Jackson Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-21.

Bella Carrigg had an outrageously good game for Andrew Jackson Academy as she had 19 assists and five aces. That's the most aces Carrigg has posted over her last six matches. McKinnley Beard was another key player, getting 11 kills and three digs.

Beaufort Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaufort Academy will square off against Thomas Heyward Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will host Patrick Henry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
