Recap: Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears vs. Orosi Cardinals
The Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-54 win over Orosi. The win was nothing new for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Ramiro Garcia and Bryant Gomez certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Garcia almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Gomez scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Garcia hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Glenn Fermin, who scored six points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Summit Charter Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 20-6 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Orosi, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will take on Orange Cove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orosi, they will be playing at home against Lindsay at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Orosi focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
