Football Game Preview: Wilmington Wildcats vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans + How To Watch

The Wilmington Wildcats will take on the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wilmington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let El Paso-Gridley get on the board and left with a 41-0 win. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, Maroa-Forsyth had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 28-6 margin over the Knights.

Wilmington better keep an eye on Ryne Sheppard. He was instrumental in Maroa-Forsyth's win, rushing for 81 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 215 yards and one touchdown. Cayden Birmingham was Sheppard's top target, picking up 141 receiving yards.

Wilmington's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
