Baseball Game Preview: Marshalltown Bobcats vs. Nevada Cubs

The Marshalltown Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Nevada Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Marshalltown has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since June 16.

On Thursday, Marshalltown came up short against Waterloo East and fell 11-6.

Meanwhile, Nevada came up short against Saydel on Wednesday, falling 12-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Cubs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Nevada's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Marshalltown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-22.

Marshalltown couldn't quite get it done against Nevada in their previous matchup back in July of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
