Basketball Recap: Faith Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Tiospaye Topa on Friday, Faith came back down to earth. The Faith Longhorns took a 55-40 bruising from the Kadoka Kougars on Saturday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Kadoka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karson Eisenbraun, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Eisenbraun a new career-high in rebounds. Dalton Grimes was another key player, going 7 for 8 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Faith's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Kadoka, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith will take on Bison in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kadoka, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lead-Deadwood at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
