Volleyball Recap: South Plaquemines Comes Up Short

If South Plaquemines was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hurricanes fell 2-0 to the Willow Lions on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Willow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Haviva A, who had six assists and five aces. Those five aces gave A a new career-high.

South Plaquemines now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Willow, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

South Plaquemines didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Jefferson RISE Charter on the 13th. As for Willow, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lutheran on the 13th.
