League recap: Weehawken stuns Bogota in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Weehawken, who took down 207th ranked Bogota, 35-14. Damian Corredor ran for 356 yards in the win.

The Indians' Corredor recorded the longest rushing play in North Jersey - Patriot this season in his game against the Buccaneers last week.

St. Mary's dynamic duo of Ryan Monaghan and Connor Cuccinelli proved tough for Queen of Peace to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Monaghan threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns and Cuccinelli had 98 yards receiving.

Wallington's Ryan Adzima and Jason Zajaczkowski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adzima has thrown for 557 yards this season, while Zajaczkowski, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 14 catches for 454 yards. Corredor from Weehawken leads the league in rushing with 816 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Indians take on Wood-Ridge. Weehawken's offense has scored 142 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Blue Devils have allowed only 147 on the year.

A big matchup in North Jersey - Patriot this week will be when the Gaels take on Park Ridge. St. Mary is in first place, while the Owls are in sixth place.

The Indians moved up to 213 from 270 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 35-14 win over Bogota helped Weehawken improve its standing.
