After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Damonte Ranch, Wooster was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Fernley Vaqueros. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Vaqueros recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Wooster saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Corl, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Corl has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Wooster back to even at 1-1. As for Fernley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wooster beat Fernley by a score of 4-0 later that day.
