Everett gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Oak Harbor Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Seagulls not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Ava Gonzalez paced Everett's offense, picking up 11 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Ava Urbanozo and her 21 assists.
Oak Harbor dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everett and Oak Harbor will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Seagulls will square off against rival Lynnwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oak Harbor is set to challenge their familiar foe Nooksack Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
