Basketball Recap: Payette Comes Up Short

Payette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cole Valley Christian Chargers 77-24. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Chargers are ranked 21st).

Payette's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Cole Valley Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payette will challenge Weiser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cole Valley Christian, they will take on Homedale at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
