Volleyball Recap: Spanaway Lake Comes Up Short

Spanaway Lake managed to slip by Rogers the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sentinels came up short against the Rams on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Sentinels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Spanaway Lake had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Spanaway Lake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Scarlett Wilson had five digs and two aces. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Spanaway Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rogers, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Spanaway Lake has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sumner on the 16th. As for Rogers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Puyallup on the 16th.
