Recap: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Paint Branch Panthers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Northwestern Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of Paint Branch on Friday. Northwestern can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their ten games.
Paint Branch found their leader in underclassman Vincent Do, who threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Dinso Okafor also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.
Northwestern's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.0 points per game. As for Paint Branch, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Paint Branch will be playing at home against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bethesda-Chevy Chase is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
