Football Recap: Green Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Desert Oasis + How To Watch

Green Valley faced Desert Oasis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Gators and the Diamondbacks were almost perfectly matched up, but the Gators suffered a 14-13 loss. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Diamondbacks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

When it comes to explaining why Green Valley lost, don't look at Michael Lewis. Despite the final result, he threw for 271 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Green Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Desert Oasis, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Valley will welcome Basic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Oasis, they will face off against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Diamondbacks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
