Football Game Preview: Gordo Green Wave vs. Wellborn Panthers + How To Watch

The Gordo Green Wave will face off against the Wellborn Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gordo will be strutting in after a win while Wellborn will be coming in after a defeat.

Two weeks ago, Gordo took their game with ease, bagging a 61-25 victory over Carbon Hill. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Makain Robertson looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 90 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Robertson, who rushed for 55 yards on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gordo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 339 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Wellborn played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Westbrook Christian and fell 48-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Gordo's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Wellborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
