Baseball Recap: Pace's Win Ends 16-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Pace made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Donna North, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vikings never let the Chiefs get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Vikings were shut out 7-0 the last time they took on the Chiefs, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

Marcos Saldivar made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Saldivar was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Pace let Oliver Olvera and Nathan Horner run wild. Olvera scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Horner scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Pace is undefeated when Olvera posts two or more runs, but 0-13 otherwise. Isaac Solis was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
