Softball Recap: Brazos Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Brazos's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Sacred Heart Indians on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Brazos saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyleigh Ann Pirsch, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Brazos' loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Sacred Heart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Brazos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-2 defeat against St. Paul on the 8th. As for Sacred Heart, they will face off against St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Sacred Heart's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
