Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo was the 3-0 winner over Orcutt Academy when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Nipomo sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 19-17.

Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Orcutt Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

Nipomo and Orcutt Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Titans will face off against Mission College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (417 vs. 898). Meanwhile, Orcutt Academy (ranked 282nd) will meet Morro Bay (ranked 571st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
