Baseball Game Preview: Orestimba Warriors vs. Ripon Indians

For the second straight game, Orestimba will face off against Ripon. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Orestimba is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Orestimba came up short against Ripon and fell 6-1.

For Ripon's part, Landon Espinola was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Espinola is becoming a predictor of the Indians' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).

Orestimba's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Ripon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Orestimba has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ripon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts.
