Highlights from the wild card and first round games in the Southern Section boys basketball playoffs.

Division 1AA Wild Card
St. John Bosco 54, Jordan 44
Brandon Parga lifted St. John Bosco with 15 points.
Servite 92, Lawndale 85
Kyle Wallace set a school record, according to the Orange County Register, with 45 points in Servite’s win over Lawnadel.
Dana Hills 61, Alemany 57
Brendan Hill tossed in 26 points for Dana Hills
Paramount 66, Lutheran 55
Reggie Abrams scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds to lift Paramount to victory.
Westlake 61, El Segundo 53
Adam Kolodney topped Westlake with 22 points. El Segundo got 30 points from Kevin Ryan in a losing cause.
Downey 72, Artesia 62
Matt Taylor and Guillermo Botello scored 20 points each to lead Downey to victory. Artesia got 18 points from Chris Brown and Darius Hunt in the loss.

Division 1A Wild Card
Tustin 62, Marina 61
Tanner Leonhardt had 16 points and Matt Glover had 15 for Tustin. Garrett James and Brendan Holmes each had 18 points for Marina.
Ayala 50, Morningside 44
Ayala advanced thanks to 15 points by A.J. Baylon.
Santa Barbara 68, Redondo Beach 56
Jamar Cannon had 16 points in the loss for Redondo.
Esperanza 58, Damien 37
Kyle Pascual led a balanced scoring effort for Esperanza with 11 points. Jon Pettibone added 10.
Arlington 82, Los Osos 79
Donnell Hamilton posted 26 points for Arlington in a close win over Los Osos.
Edison 54, West Torrance 53
Edison edged West Torrance behind Kyle Boswell’s 21 points and Carl Eberts 18-point effort. Nemanja Komadina had 30 points for West.
Diamond Bar 80, El Modena 50
Travis Hummel and Casey Barlow each tossed in 21 points for Diamond Bar.

Division 2AA Wild Card
Troy 68, Glendale 56
Peter Abraham led Troy to victory with 22 points while Ryan Hagen had 18 points and 13 rebounds. Derenik Kaloosi had 21 points for Glendale
Canyon 78, Temecula Valley 60
Canyon got 25 points from Cody Anderson and 19 from John Lawson to advance. Siaki Cravens of Temecula Valley led all scorers with 26 points.
AB Miller 104, Hart 95
Michael Cardenas had four of AB Miller’s 12 3-pointers and scored 17 points. Jonathan Jury added 23 and Deondre Brodie scored 21 in the win while Josh Segovia and Marcus Brown each had 16.
Crescenta Valley 59, Los Altos 51
Crescenta Valley got 18 points from Clay Sierra and 17 from Eric Strangis in its playoff opener.
Burbank 70, Golden Valley 51
Burbank advanced to the next round thanks to 23 points by Sevak Amranyan and 22 points from Andre Afexandrian.

Division 2A Wild Card
Arroyo Grande 62, Cypress 47
Robbie Souza and Isaac Willkom each had 17 points to lead Arroyo Grande and offset Michael Stone’s 20-point effort for Cypress.
Valley View 91, Corona 81
Valley View got 37 points from Johnny Bell while Sean Allen had 30 points for Corona.
Westminster 71, Loara 63
Keshad Adeniyi led the winners with 29 points.

Division 3AA Wild Card
Crossroads 56, Century 46
Crossroads won its wild card matchup behind Marick Ross and Solomon Hiannh, each of whom had 16 points.

Division 3A First Round
Estancia 73, Santa Fe 64
Estancia got 29 points from Mark Allred to beat Santa Fe Springs.
Hesperia 64, Palm Springs 58
Stephen Evans posted 19 points and AJ Mathis added 18 points and 15 rebounds in Hesperia’s win over Palm Springs. Elijah Betts and Theo Murrell each had 17 points for the Indians.
Notre Dame 78, Irvine 58
Kenjon Barner had 20 points to lead Notre Dame to victory. Mark Hossler added 17 points in the win.
West Valley 73, LaSerna 45
West Valley had four players in double figures, including Kris Brooks and Eric Lawton with 19 points apiece, Joseph Burton with 17 and John Balwigare with 10.
Rowland 49, Citrus Hill 47
B.J. Oyefeso led all scorers with 21 for the winners. Caleb Herring led Citrus Hill with 16 points.
Sultana 57, LaQuinta 52
Joshua Johnson lifted the Sultans to a second-half comeback by scoring all of his 17 points in the second half.
Paloma Valley 86, Banning 54
Dionte Goodlett had 21 points while Zach Hubert hit four 3-pointers for 14 points in Paloma Valley’s victory. Banning got 28 points from Derron Smith.
West Covina 71, Laguna Hills 57
Warren Samuels led all scorers with 26 points in West Covina’s win. Collin Pfingst led Laguna Hills with 17 points.
Serrano 67, Palm Desert 40
Jamaal Franklin led Serrano into the next round with 27 points, 10 rebounds and six blockedshots.
Nogales 57, Apple Valley 56
Randal Guillory paced Nogaleswith 20 points while Aaron De Anda added 17. Absalom Smith topped Apple Valley with 15 points.
Laguna Beach 53, Beckman 38
Ryan Lawler led Laguna Beach with 16 points while Rhett Bender had 10 for Beckman.
California 59, South Hills 51
Drew Harris had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds for California. Timmy Palomino added 17 points.

Division 4AA First Round
Gabrielino 83, Victor Valley Christian 68
Lavelle Etheridge had 30 points for Victor Valley Christian, but it wasn’t enough to defeat Gabrielino, which got 19 points from James Onwuzurike.
Brethren Christian 54, Mountain View 44
Brethren Christian got 21 points from Austin Wenger to top Mountain View.
Kaiser 71, Calvary Chapel 56
Brandon Clemons popped in 16 points and David Wedge netted 15 to lead Kaiser past Calvary Chapel.
Apple Valley Christian 46, Arrowhead Christian 45
Steven Messner had 18 points to lead Apple Valley Christian to one-point win over Arrowhead Christian. Mark Dunham led Arrowhead with 25 points.
St. Margaret’s 71, Bloomington Christian 45
Tyler Stowers had 22 points and Dan Morrison notched 23 for St. Margaret’s.
Loma Linda Academy 61, Redlands Adventist 45
Loma Linda got 14 points and 16 rebounds from Thad Lowe in an opening-round win.
Garden Grove 78, Joshua Springs 53
Garden Grove got 15 points from Tony Pham in an opening-round win.
Patriot 88, Antelope Valley Christian 21
Patriot had a balanced scoring attack, led by Tim Butler with 14 points.
Rancho Alamitos 61, Hesperia Christian 54
Abdul Akbary posted 24 points to help Rancho Alamitos get past Hesperia Christian. Teammate  Trevor Collier added 13. Jordan Vargas led Hesperia Christian with 26 points.

Division 4A First Round
St. Genevieve 85, Faith Baptist 77
St. Genevieve advances to meet No. 1 seed Valley Christian of Cerritos.
Holy Martyrs 73, Delphi Academy 42
Holy Martyrs will take on No. 7 seed Yucca Valley in the second round.
Yucca Valley 97, Murphy 93
Tenjae Singleton had one of the best efforts in the opening round of the Southern Section playoffs with 40 points in a win over Murphy. His effort included 11 3-pointers.
St. Paul 70, Whittier Christian 56
St. Paul won behind William Duff’s 17 points
Milken Community 51, Bell-Jeff 49
Milken eliminated Bell-Jeff with Sam Else scoring 15 points and John Russ adding 14. Martin Rosas led Bell-Jeff with 14 points.
Buckley 44, Webb 33
Buckley opened with a win behind Andrew Farhadi’s 17 points.
L.A. Baptist 97, New Harvest 38
Michael Chrzanowski tossed in 23 points and Caleb Smith added 15 for L.A. Baptist.
Viewpoint 51, Pasadena Poly 47
Viewpoint got 20 points from Brandon Gumaer and 18 from Hunter Carlin in a close win over Pasadena Poly.
Big Bear 88, Mesrobian 48
Big Bear easily downed Mesrobian by 40 points. Albert Kakoyan led Mesrobian with 19 points.
Hillcrest Christian 55, St. Monica 51
Hillcrest Christian advances to face No. 2 seed Twentynine Palms.

Division 5AA First Round
Lone Pine 71, New Community Jewish 39
David Jones popped in 29 points to lead Lone Pine to victory.
Liberty Christian 56, Maricopa 39
Robby Clark led Liberty Christian with 13 points while Maricopa’s John Medal led all scorers with 19.
Marshall 47, Boys Republic 32
Marshall will tangle with Liberty Christian in the second round.
Pacifica Christian 60, California Lutheran 41
Derek Williams paced Pacifica Christian with 27 points and was aided by David Hammer with 19.
San Gabriel Academy 45, Riverside Christian 44
D. Pastanaza had 14 points and R. Pastanaza added 10 to help San Gabriel Academy offset Dodson’s 20-point effort for Riverside Christian.
Pacific Hills 75, Upland Christian 46
Matt Proiux had 15 points in a losing cause for Upland Christian.
Highland Hall 76, Wildwood 54
Quinton Wade busted loose for 33 points to lead Highland Hall. Clyde Conley led Wildwood with 27 points.
South Bay Lutheran 88, Coastal Christian 41
Aston Robinson had a big night, tossing in 35 points for South Bay Lutheran. Eli Brown added 21 and Lourenzo Caston had 17 in the blowout win.
Calvary Murrieta 79, Desert Christian 59
John Gomez led the Warriors to a big win over Desert Christian with 18 points.
Tarbut V’Torah 62, LA Adventist 43
Shahriar Younessi tossed in 16 points and had four 3-pointers for Tarbut V’Torah.
Valley Torah 68, Silver Valley 38
Valley Torah meets No. 2 seed Maranatha in the second round.

Division 5A First Round
Acaciawood 54, Whitewater 38
Josue Franco notched 28 points to lead Acaciawood.
Newbury Park Adventist 76, Packinghouse Christian 60
Newbury Park Adventist will meet No. 8 seed Thacher.
Thacher 56, California Military Academy 41
Chris Thomas posted 15 points and six assists while Austin Krause had 14 points for Thacher.
Kern Valley 60, Noli Indian 18
Kern Valley advances to take on Sierra Canyon.
Sierra Canyon 62, Immanuel Christian 43
Terrance Nash had 13 points in a losing effort for Immanuel Christian.
Cornerstone Christian 57, Wilson Creek 41
Cornerstone Christian will meet No. 3 seed Malibu in the second round.
Malibu 73, Ventura County Christian 30
Chris Peck had 23 points and Chandler Abbott added 14 for Malibu.

Michael Vaughn had 19 points and Dorian Smith had 18 to lead the rout for Desert.

Hope Centre Academy advances to play No. 4 seed Desert.

Danny Taylor had 28 points for Lee Vining in the loss.

Marywood won by nearly 50 points behind Kevin Smith’s 26-point effort.

Stephen Puls notched 20 points to lead Bishop pas Orangewood Academy, which got 19 opints from PJ Arriola.
