It was a good run, but Kansas unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-1 to the Grove Ridgerunners. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Comets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kansas' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Grove, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Kansas is taking a road trip to square off against Jay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Grove, they will face off against Rejoice Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
