Football Recap: Ponderosa Starts Season with Win Against Evergreen + How To Watch

Ponderosa took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-0 win over the Evergreen Cougars.

One reason for the win was Ponderosa's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cora Redner, Mackenzie Rankin, and Kayla Tuller, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Looking ahead, Ponderosa will welcome Air Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for Evergreen, they will head out on the road to face off against Bear Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The match will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
