Baseball Recap: Falmouth's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Falmouth dropped their record down to 12-5-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Kennebunk Rams by a score of 1-0. The Navigators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Falmouth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Robbins, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Kennebunk, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

On Kennebunk's side, not much got past Isaac Jensen, who gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Falmouth off the board. Jensen has become a key player for the Rams: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least ten strikeouts, but 5-11 otherwise.

Falmouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennebunk, they will take on Biddeford on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
