Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jose Garcia and Aukusitino Afoa Lead Desert Pines to Victory

Desert Pines came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1.

Leading Desert Pines to victory were Aukusitino Afoa and Jose Garcia. Afoa had nine digs and one assist, while Garcia had ten assists and five digs. Those nine digs gave Afoa a new career-high.

Desert Pines' win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Desert Oasis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
