Dillard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boyd Anderson Cobras. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Boyd Anderson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amariah Tomlinson, who posted 17 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Tomlinson is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Garnia Beauvais, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 18 rebounds.

Dillard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Boyd Anderson, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.

Dillard has already played their next game (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Boyd Anderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-23 loss against Coconut Creek on the 11th.
