Football Recap: Claremont Starts off Right with Win over Capistrano Valley Christian + How To Watch

Claremont took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They secured a 17-12 W over the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles.

Claremont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tai Thompson, who rushed for 98 yards, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Max Leeper, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one score.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Vincent, who rushed for 97 yards and one TD. Vincent was even better on defense, making eight total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging three interceptions.

Looking ahead, Claremont will venture away from home to face off against Diamond Bar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
