Basketball Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 48-23 to the Kelvyn Park Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 59-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kelvyn Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Douglass will challenge Collins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Collins will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Douglass surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kelvyn Park, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chicago Tech at 4:30 p.m. on January 21st.
