Basketball Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Orange Park Raiders 68-15. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-9.

Annnaliese Hovda was Clay's leading scorer, having posted four points. Jer'Mira Troutman held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Orange Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayde Brant out in front who posted 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Dinkins, who had nine points.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Orange Park, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Clay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-5 defeat against Ridgeview on the 6th. As for Orange Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-42 loss against Ponte Vedra on the 5th.
