Soccer Recap: South-Doyle's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

South-Doyle waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Alcoa Tornadoes 6-0. The result was nothing new for South-Doyle, who have now won eight contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Alcoa from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cameron Harp led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

South-Doyle's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those five games. As for Alcoa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South-Doyle will face off against Lenoir City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alcoa, they will challenge Maryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
