Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Dubuque Senior Rams, falling 89-63. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Dubuque Senior, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
