Cypress Falls won the last time they faced Cypress Creek and things went their way on Friday too. Cypress Falls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Cypress Creek. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Xavier Izaguirre spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Owen Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Izaguirre, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Cypress Falls and bumps their season record up to 7-9-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Cypress Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-18-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Falls will face off against rival Jersey Village at 7:00 p.m. on April 1. Meanwhile, Cypress Creek is set to square off against their familiar foe Cypress Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
