Baseball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Capital fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Clay County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Clay County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Capital will face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clay County, they will take on Roane County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
