Basketball Game Preview: Iola Bulldogs vs. Snook Bluejays

The Iola Bulldogs will challenge the Snook Bluejays at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Iola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Snook likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Iola came up short against Centerville and fell 72-65.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Snook faced off against Hearne on Tuesday. Snook took a hard 57-38 fall against Hearne. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1070th, while the Eagles are ranked 460th).

Iola has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Snook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
