Basketball Recap: Seneca Valley Takes a Loss

Seneca Valley lost against Northwest back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles fell just short of the Northwest Jaguars by a score of 44-41.

Defeat or not, Seneca Valley got some senior leadership from Exodus Waites and Jaysen Moise. Waites dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards, while Moise almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Waites a new career-high. Ian Bullie was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks.

Northwest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexander Greenfield out in front who posted eight points along with 12 boards and three blocks. Greenfield has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eddison Floyd, who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Seneca Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Seneca Valley has already played their next game, a 45-41 defeat against Quince Orchard on the 7th. As for Northwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-55 win against Clarksburg on the 7th.
