Volleyball Recap: Banning Comes Up Short

If Banning was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rancho Dominguez on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pilots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carson Colts on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pilots in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost three in a row.

Banning was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Carson work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18.

Banning's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Carson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Banning is set to face off against their familiar foe Narbonne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Carson will take on rival Rancho Dominguez at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
