Softball Recap: Comer Comes Up Short

Comer fell victim to West End and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Comer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Tyler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Comer and nudges their season record down to 3-24. As for West End, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

West End has already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Oak Grove on the 17th. Hopefully Comer paid attention to the Patriots' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Patriots at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
