Softball Recap: Covington Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Covington Academy can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Covington Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Ledoux, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Ledoux has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Covington Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Covington Academy by a score of 19-4 later that day.
